Organizing craft supplies doesn't have to be complicated. You don't have to have tons of expensive organizing units and containers. You also don't need a ton of craft supplies to stock a great craft room. You just need some space to easily work and be able to find everything when you need it.

I'll share my every day craft storage ideas and show you how I've set up a small space in my kitchen as my goto work space for crafting all year round. Our website provides a free download of Cricut Craft Room 1.0 -122. This free program was originally produced by Provo Craft & Novelty, Inc. This free PC program is developed for Windows XP/Vista/7/8/10 environment, 32-bit version. The most popular version among the software users is 1.0. It is a design tool that lets you design with images from the Cricut cartridges (including Imagine ones) and images on the Craft Room itself. Currently, there is a free font and shape set of images, called Cricut Craft Room Basics and that's available for everyone. You will still need to own the cartridges to cut out your design, though.

I like most of my supplies within arms reach of my seat. I use a lot of color and paper and my Cricut machine… so organizing a space with those items is key for me. For you, your priorities may be different. You can get fancy and buy pre-built units to store all your things, or you can DIY a solution that works for you. For me, I used a little bit of both worlds.
Let me first say, I do have a larger craft studio in my basement. It's loaded with all kinds of craft supplies, sewing equipment and counter space for miles. The truth is, I hardly use it compared to my every day work space upstairs. I spend most of my time on my computer, next to my Cricut machine, so most of my crafting is done right in the middle of my kitchen. I use the kitchen table when I need table space. Google desktop search android. I've set up a small work space with a nice little cubby storage unit and it's perfect for my day-to-day crafting. Here's how I make this small space work for me.
I have a ton of pens and pencils. That's what I use in all my crafts… I draw. So much of my craft room storage is organizing drawing supplies. I could store all the drawing tools in one big bin, but I like how the colors look displayed so I can see them. I also like all my drawing supplies organized by type. If I want to use the watercolor pencils, I don't want to dig through a big bin of all the pencils. So you'll see many of my ideas are featuring some kind of pen or pencil. You can use the same concept for other materials too… get creative and have fun organizing!
Google web browser free download. Set up dedicated work space. Regardless of how much space you have to work with, setting up an area that can always be used for your crafting, can be really helpful. Find a place for all the things, so you know where they are when you need them. My work space is a relatively small desk with my computer and most everything I could need for a typical craft project.
Put like items together and organize for easy access. I like to sort most of my supplies by type and then by color. It's easier for me to find things when they're sorted and together in the same place. Because I focus on paper crafts and drawing or painting, I have all my pencils, markers, paper and paint in their own containers and color coordinated. You don't necessarily need the entire color collection for your favorite paint, pick the colors you use the most and make space for that set.
Use the wall space to organize. To give yourself more working table space, use the walls to store things you need in your craft room. I got a bunch of small, plastic boxes and stuck them to the wall with magnets to keep my drawing supplies off the table. When I need to work on an illustration, I can easily take the pencils I need off the wall to use them. I've also got some small containers of regular use items hanging on the same wall with the pencils. Things like twine, glitter and fancy paper clips, all have a home hanging on the wall above my desk.
Cubbies are a crafter's best friend. Even a small craft room has room for cubbies. and Storage cubbies are the perfect organizing shelf. You can fill a cubbie with more shelves, baskets and containers to really maximize your space. Some cubbies can be left open so you can see what is inside while others can be closed.
Organize how you craft. All of my Cricut supplies have a home on one side of my desk while my drawing supplies are on the other side. This way, when I'm working on a specific craft technique, I don't have to move far to get the all the materials I need. I have both a Cricut Maker and Cricut Air 2 so that I can make Cricut projects I share with you. So both machines are setup, ready to use. All my cardstock is just below my desk, organized in letter trays and in a large cubbie bin. I found some plastic bins that fit perfectly in the cubbie bin to help separate the paper and make it easier to access and put away. I keep the Cricut pens just below the Cricut machine and I keep all the Cricut tools in the storage compartments built right into the Cricut.
Use build-in surfaces. My kitchen has a partial wall between the actual kitchen and the family room. It's against this dividing wall that I have set up my desk. I use the top of the wall as an extra 'shelf' space for a few of my craft room necessities. The Cricut machines sit on top of this wall… then I don't have to move them when I want to use them. The mat has room to move. I also use part of this wall as a book shelf for my favorite magazines and books. Finally, I found a cute storage cup at target that I have sitting on the wall with all my cutting tools… scissors and craft knives.
Use those hidden spaces for extra storage. Every little open space I have access to, is set up to store something. Under my desk, next to the left wall, there is room between the cubbies and the wall. This is where I store my computer bag and purse when I'm not using them. Under my desk, right where I sit, I have a metal strip that I then store containers with magnets. I have a magnetic cup for my every day pens and pencils along with little containers of things like thumbtacks and rubber bands. I also found some cute little hanging pen holders on Amazon that attach to your computer monitor. This is where I store my computer drawing pens and stylus.
Display supplies to create art all their own. Sometimes organizing and displaying your craft or art supplies can turn into the art that decorates your space. Organize the colors of paints or pencils to create a rainbow look in pretty cups and trays. Or set up your color paper in a pretty color pattern so that the paper because your word space art display.
Organize a little bit of everything. In a small craft room, you can't keep a bunch of things in large quantities. So just have enough for your basic, every day use. I have a bin with even more pencils, and markers and paints… because I need all of them. I also have a bin for misc supplies like glue, extra twine, hot glue guns, etc. I've got another bin with just vinyl for my Cricut. The vinyl fits perfectly, organized vertically in the bin. My sketchbooks live on one shelf while extra paper, photo cards and materials for my MyPrintly projects live in another bin.
Add a cart if you need it. For a little extra storage, get yourself a rolling cart. I work with HP, so I need a few printers in my space. So, I picked up this cute little rolling cart that has a nice wood stop and two wire shelves. I use the wood top for taking pictures of projects and the shelves house 2 of my 3 printers. I also found some extra hanging wire baskets to store more materials. Use all that empty space. you can get a lot of supplies in a tiny craft room.
You don't have to spend a ton to have an organized craft room. I said it before… your craft room can be beautiful organized for not a ton of money. I think cubbies are the best investment because you can pack a lot in and they don't have to cost a ton. I picked up paper storage racks at the Dollar Tree that fit perfectly in my cubbie space.
Finish it off with extra inspiration and personal touches. Every word space needs a little personality. Display your supplies, get everything organized and then add little accents to show off your own personal style. I have a couple items that are important to me. My daughter made me a lovely little art poem and my mom gave me a word art sign before she moved… both live on the wall right next to where I sit all day. I found a pretty little glass flower vase that I've add to my magnet wall. I also have a cute little unicorn I picked up from a conference from my friends at ShareaSale… because everyone needs a unicorn. I also have an essential oils diffuser that I use to fill the air with creative and inspiring fragrances throughout the day.

This post seems to get found alot when your searching for information on the Cricut Expression 2, I'm not really doing anything with my Cricut much any more, however I did just hear that the CRICUT EXPRESSION is being discontinued.
That makes me so very sad.
